Biosecurity image
Biosecurity is the set of preventative measures designed to reduce the biological risk of infectious disease transmission by people, animals, equipment or vehicles on your site and is the cheapest and most effective means of disease control available, without which no disease prevention programme will work.

Biosecurity is the key element in the triangle of disease control methods: biosecurity, medication/ vaccination and good management are the three sides of the disease control triangle. In order to achieve an environment in which disease and infection is controlled to the point where vaccination and medication achieve beneficial effect, it is absolutely essential to take the necessary measures to control biosecurity. Without the continuous maintenance of biosecurity and good management practices, medication and vaccination cannot protect your stock.

Each vehicle and equipment entering and leaving your site needs to be properly washed and decontaminated in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases that occurs through the movement of vehicles and equipment between farms, distribution centers, and processing facilities.

Designed specifically for the poultry industry to help combat pathogens being transferred between farms by trucks and other vehicles, the BioSpray spray race system can be adapted to any environment where the biosecurity is key.
